The RAM ROD® Fly Rod Holder is a high-performance accessory engineered for durability, and extreme adjustability. When integrated with the Yakdog mounting system, it offers several unique advantages for the kayak anglers. The rod holder is mounted on Yakdog mounting plates or brackets with C1 RAM balls.
Enhanced Usability
· Yakdog added an innovative, elastic-tensioned cross-bar to the rod holder specifically engineered to make one-handed rod management possible.
· Without the cross-bar rod retrieval and stowage is a two-handed operation.
· The cross-bar prevents the rod butt from lifting and stops the rod from sliding out when the securing cover is opened.
· It provides enough tension to keep the rod securely in place during normal fishing activities, meaning you don't always need to engage the secondary securing cover while moving between spots.
Advanced Versatility
· Compact Stowage: The 360-degree flexibility of the RAM® system allows for a minimal deck footprint. RAM ROD® Fly Rod Holder can be angled independently to accommodate various rod positions.
· Low-Profile Clearance: For river fishing or navigating under low bridges and docks, the holders can be adjusted to a near-horizontal position, keeping your fly rods safe from overhead obstacles.
· Usability: Reversible Hardware: The securing cover and thumb nut/bolt assembly are designed for quick reversal, ensuring ergonomic access regardless of mounting position left or right.

For those who travel with their kayaks, the RAM® Tube™ holders can be removed in seconds. This allows you to keep your kayak "slick" for transport and quickly snap in the specific holders you need for each unique outing just before launch.
