The Yakdog Anchor Pole Bracket provide a square tube to pass a shallow water anchor through and equipped each with two pins with protective tube covering for transportation. A standard 3/4" anchor pole fits snugly between the two pins of the brackets. The bracket is typically fitted to the rear Yakdog Mounts Yakdog Mounts. Mounting hardware is provided to mount the bracket. The bolts must be screwed into the mount from the bottom up. The bracket can be fitted to 2 possible positions to clear the side of the kayak. The thumb nuts are used to secure the bracket to the mounting plate. Care must be taken not to over tighten the nuts in the mount. It is recommended to use a dab of glue on the bolts when installing on the mounts. The bungee cord is used to secure the anchor pole for transportation. Each bracket is made of durable high-density polyethylene. Stainless steel mounting hardware is used throughout to mount all the accessories.
Application:
The bracket is typically fitted to the rear Yakdog mount. It is designed to anchor kayaks in windy conditions or slow moving water. The Anchor Pole bracket provide a square tube to pass a 3/4 " shallow anchor pole through to anchor the kayak. The Anchor Pole Bracket can be used in combination with an Anchor Pole Transport Bracket. For transportation the shallow water anchor pole is place between the pins on either bracket. The shallow water anchor pole can be pushed down between the pint until it grips. If the kayak is transported, launched through surf or if there is a probability that the kayak can flip over it is important to secure the pole with the bungee cords provided with each bracket.
